If you’ve read any of our About Us page, you already know a little bit about me and how I’ve had an affinity for ALL natural and pure for quite some time. I like my skincare and food as natural and as pure as I can get it.
I was one of those rare teenagers at that time, who was completely enthralled with the idea of natural skincare. There were several rather odd things I did back then, that now wouldn't be so strange maybe.
I used to soak my nails in olive oil for 15 minutes because I'd read that it softened my cuticles. I put cucumbers on my eyelids while lying out in the sun, and mixed water and green clay together to make a mask for my face. Yep, I was all about this healthy stuff even way back then, and no I'm not telling you how long ago that was! But trust me, it was a long time ago!
I grew up in a suburban area, not in the city or country, but always, always had a longing to live on a broad stretch of land!
When I was growing up I would visit my neighbor's 60+ acre farm where their cattle grazed among the rolling, green hills. I enjoyed the swing on this old farmhouse porch, walking down to their pond, driving in an old pick-up truck to check on the cattle, having a picnic on a blanket while listening to the quietness and birds chirping.
Old farmhouses, red barns, cows, the sound of leaves blowing in the breeze, yep, the country life is definitely for me!
I didn’t grow up on a farm, nor did I know anyone around me who did farm. I can’t say that my husband or I learned about farming from others either while we were growing up, but we do both have a love for the farm, livestock, living more self-sufficient, and anything about living on land.
Natural foods, remedies, self-sufficiency, herbs, and more, are all the things I love to research & write about.
So come along & sign up for my blog, if you haven’t done so already.
Future topics will be on how to live debt-free, emergency preparedness, teas, natural remedies, herbs, and so much more!
